Product Introduction
Cotton-fiber-reinforced graphite yarn is an advanced sealing material made by interweaving expandable graphite with high-strength cotton fiber. Its core structure is formed by laminating or embedding multiple layers of expandable graphite flakes with cotton fiber bundles. This retains the excellent mechanical strength and abrasion resistance of cotton fiber while fully exploiting graphite's high-temperature resistance, self-lubricating properties and chemical inertness. The composite structure effectively overcomes the load-bearing limitations of traditional graphite yarn and avoids the degradation of pure cotton fiber at high temperatures.
The product offers broad-spectrum corrosion resistance and remains stable in strong acids, strong alkalis and a wide range of organic solvents. The expandable graphite layer self-expands under pressure, automatically compensating installation clearances to form an effective dynamic seal. Its low friction coefficient and excellent compression resistance make it suitable for high-pressure, high-speed, high-temperature dynamic sealing. Typical features include a wide working temperature range (-70°C to 600°C), strong pressure-bearing capacity (up to 40 MPa), long service life and low maintenance frequency.

Ideal for dynamic sealing in high-temperature and high-pressure equipment, especially systems requiring high chemical media resistance. Typical applications include chemical plant reactors, hot-oil systems, acid-gas generators, steam generators, oil and gas drilling equipment, marine main-engine oil line seals, and auxiliary shaft seals in power plants. Suitable media include steam, industrial gases (hydrogen, oxygen, chlorine), petroleum fluids, acid/alkali solutions (sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid), organic solvents and some molten salts.
